ASHEN is the uncompromising hardcore alias of DJ Dobrel, representing the most aggressive and high-octane edge of his production spectrum. Stepping far beyond the boundaries of techno, ASHEN explores the industrial-strength territories of Hardcore and Gabber. Defined by distorted kicks, relentless high BPMs, and chaotic, dark energy, this project is a tribute to the heavy-hitting rave sounds that demand total surrender from the dancefloor. As the hardest hitting output on the Confession Sessions roster, ASHEN is where the melody dies and the raw power takes over.
FRAKTAL
FRAKTAL is the raw, underground alter-ego of label boss DJ Dobrel, created as a vessel for his darkest and most hypnotic productions. Stripping away the multi-genre versatility of his main project, this alias focuses strictly on the heavier, stripped-back side of the spectrum—delivering “raw, deep, and hypnotic” techno designed for late-night warehouses. With releases on Confession Sessions such as “Retribution”, “Omen”, and “This Changes Everything”, FRAKTAL explores the grittier textures of the electronic underground, serving as the sonic shadow to Dobrel’s main output.
Ricardo Carota
Ricardo Carota is a Dutch DJ and producer based in the Amsterdam area who has evolved from his roots in hip-hop into a prominent figure in the electronic scene. Originally known for grooving Tech House and Deep House, he has recently shifted into harder territories, becoming a key player in the Confession Sessions lineups in London and Amsterdam. He frequently collaborates with label boss DJ Dobrel—most notably on their track “Wake Up”—and is recognized for his “musical plantation” of sounds that range from deep grooves to driving hard techno.
INCOGNITO
INCOGNITO is a Waterford-based hard techno artist making waves in the Irish underground scene. Known for her unrelenting energy, she specializes in Schranz and industrial textures, delivering high-octane sets that fit perfectly with the Confession Sessions’ “Church of Rave” ethos. She made her Confession Sessions debut in Cork, establishing herself as a force for those who prefer their techno fast, hard, and uncompromising.
RAKKATACK
Hailing from the Netherlands, RAKKATACK is a dynamic 4-man DJ and production team known for a raw, energetic sound that merges the rougher edges of electronic music with driving rhythms. With a shared history spanning over three decades in the Dutch scene—deeply rooted in the evolution of Gabber, UK Rave, House, and Techno—the group brings a wealth of experience to the decks. They specialize in a “hard but not too fast” techno style, characterized by hard kicks and powerful synths that give the beat room to breathe and hit home. Their unique, dark, and robust sound has garnered support from international artists and led to releases that showcase their distinct place in the hard techno landscape.
DJ Dobrel
A Dublin-based electronic music producer and DJ originally from Cork, DJ Dobrel has established himself as a versatile force in the Irish and international dance scenes. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant 90s rave and house culture he grew up with, he produces a wide range of styles, including Techno, House, and Trance, often marked by punchy kicks, driving basslines, and classic rave elements. Beyond his own releases on labels like Blackhole Recordings, Loudkult, and Clipper Sounds, he is a key figure behind the Confession Sessions brand and the founder of Zenbeat.ai. Known for his technical skill and high-energy performances, Dobrel continues to push boundaries with a steady stream of releases and live shows across the UK and Europe.
